 When I run CMN, it makes a noise and closes immediately
Solution For a very small number of users, CMN appears to not work at all. When running the application, CMN makes an error noise and closes without even displaying an error message.

This problem is due to an incompatability between your operating system (OS) and the CMN application. We have seen this primarily with illegitimate copies of Windows, or with versions that have problems (not up to date, infected with viruses, have been running poorly). However, we have also seen a few cases without explanation.

Either way, please try the following steps to get CMN to run:

1) Open "My Computer"

2) Navigate to the CMN installation directory (C:\Program Files\CEVO\CMN3)

3) Right-click on the CMNGui.exe icon and choose "Properties"

4) Click on the "Compatability" tab

5) Check the box to "Run this program in compatability mode" and choose "Windows 2000" from the dropdown menu

6) Click "OK" to close the properties box.

7) Double-click on "CMNGui.exe" and see if the CMN launches.


If this does not work, you should join CEVO's ventrilo server for support. You may need to reformat your computer and start with a clean installation of Windows.
